Not Wendy's Chili Recipe....
INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 tbsp. tomato paste
2lbs. ground beef
4 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. garlic powder1 tsp. salt
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 (28-oz.) can crushed tomatoes
1 (15-oz.) can kidney beans, with liquid
1 (15-oz.) can pinto beans, with liquidShredded cheddar, for serving
Green onions diced, for serving
In a large cooking pot, add oil, onion, pepper and celery. Cook about five minutes until softened. Add ground beef and brown. Then add remaining ingredients. (Except for cheese and diced onions) Bring to low boil while stirring. Then reduce heat, stirring occasionally for about 45 minutes.
